Frequently asked Questions

How can a website help my business?

More and more people are using the Internet as a quick reference to lookup your business (much as you are doing now). Having a professional website that reflects your business and customers will enhance their views of your business.

What is a domain name and how can I get one?

A domain name is the part of your web address and email address that explains who you are. For example "groovypenguin.co.uk" is our domain name, enabling us to use www.groovypenguin.co.uk as our web address and This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it as our email addresses. A domain name looks and sounds so much more professional than using the free webspace and email addresses sometimes given by your internet service provider.

You can either buy a domain name yourself or we can include a domain name as part of our service when building your website.

How much does it cost to have a website?

Of course, the cost of a website depends very much on its complexity. However, as a rough rule of thumb, a site consisting of a main "who we are" page, with 3-4 other pages of information regarding services provided, products sold, and contact details would cost in the region of £300. This will suffice for the majority of small businesses initially. Should you wish to enhance this later on then we can provide additional items such as e-commerce, interaction with databases, content management systems for you to update your own website.
